You are not the problem.
The problem is the problem.
Own your story. Own your life.
I work with men got sober and are tired of being defined by it.
I help them reclaim their identity and build what's next.
This work also serves people navigating grief, trauma, or major life transitions.
Intro to Authorship
A FREE 60-minute workshop for anyone who is past the crisis but still carries the weight.
Reflect on your story. See where the past is still steering the present. Get a clear framework for moving forward on your terms.
This is a live, small-group workshop. Space is limited.
Is this for you?
At some point, everything fell apart and had to be rebuilt.
You’re not in crisis anymore.
You’re functioning. Capable. Back on your feet.
But something still feels off.
Much of your life was shaped in response to what happened — decisions made under pressure, identities formed out of necessity, ways of surviving that slowly became permanent.
This work is for people who are ready to look back at that rebuild and ask:
What still fits? What doesn’t? And what do I want to choose deliberately now?
What this work helps you do
Reframe past mistakes as hard-earned lessons
Loosen the grip of shame without denying responsibility
Carry the past forward with clarity instead of weight
Make decisions based on who you are now, not who you used to be
Show up with confidence in social and professional settings
What is narrative-based coaching?
The narrative approach separates you from the problem. When you stop treating past trauma as your identity, you can see it clearly and work with it instead of being defined by it.
We use the Story ARC framework: Awareness, Reclamation, and Choice. You see the story you've been living, examine how meaning formed under pressure, and decide what still belongs going forward. It's a structured way to move from old scripts into authorship.
If you're in active addiction, acute trauma, or crisis, you may need different support before starting this work. Reach out anyway. As a Certified Recovery Professional, I can help you find the resources you need to take the next step safely. This guidance is always free of charge.

My Approach and Background
I'm Zach—a husband, father, storyteller, and recovery professional. My path hasn't been straight. I've been through addiction, grief, and anxiety, and found my way back through recovery, reflection, and hard work.
Here’s the thing, I earned my seat at the recovery table, but after a while I didn’t want to be labeled an alcoholic or an addict everywhere I went, even if that’s what I was. I’m open about my past and still go to meetings, but that’s just part of my story, not my whole identity. I’m grateful for what got me sober, but my approach came from what followed—taking ownership of my life’s narrative, not just reliving the chapter that knocked me down.
My approach is direct but grounded. I ask questions that cut through the noise and hold space for what's actually true. This isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you see the story you've been living and helping you decide what comes next.
If you're ready for that, I'm here.
